Remember from a few posts back when I mentioned going Universal with some fellow DCPs (if not, go ahead and give that article a read - "I Don't Think We Are In Disney Anymore..."). Well Grace, Nicky, and I went again together but this time not only for the rides but for the Mardi Gras Parade and The Roots concert. This was my first time celebrating Mardi Gras at Universal and it was lively and exhilarating. The parade was filled with music, dancing, and lots of beads. After the parade we went over to the drink booth before the concert and got over priced cocktails in souvenir glasses. The drink and concert were enjoyable. The Roots are an American hip hop band that was formed in Philadelphia. The band serves as the house band on NBC's The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. I am grateful that I was able to experience how Universal celebrates Mardi Gras and one of their concerts. I did have plans to go and see other concerts at Universal but unfortunately those plans did not go through due to COVID-19.
