Disney Skyliner Resort Hopping

February 2021

During my most recent visit to Walt Disney World Resorts, I had the opportunity to Resort Hop. My boyfriend, Ryan, and I went from Disney's Art of Animation Resort to Disney's Pop Century Resort, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, and Disney's Riviera Resort by taking the Skyliner. This was a fun activity for us to do on the days that we were not going to the parks which were both the day we arrived and the day we left.

Disney's Pop Century Resort has a fun retro throwback theme that covers several of decades. Ryan and I had a lot of fun taking pictures with the larger than life architecture. We were able to leisurely walk around and view the pool as well as the giftshop. A personal goal for myself is to stay at every Walt Disney World Resort at least once throughout my lifetime and I cannot wait to stay here!

Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is a beautiful and brightly colored resort that gives off a tropical getaway feeling. My family and I have actually stayed at this resort a few years ago, however, we did not take the time to enjoy all of its wonderful amenities. Ryan and I were able to take in its beauty as we walked around. We found ourselves pin trading with the Cast Members while visiting the giftshop. I love the Caribbean Beach Resort and I would defiantly stay here again!

Disney's Riviera Resort is a large and sophisticated resort that gives you that proper romantic European feeling. The Riviera is a Disney Vacation Club resort which loosely translates into that it is a timeshare. From my understanding, you can stay here if you are a DVC member or by renting points. You may be able to book from Disney directly if you aren't a member but the cost of doing so is going to be much higher than if you would rent points. Regardless, it is a beautiful and brand new resort. Ryan and I enjoyed walking around, taking pictures, and grabbing a bite to eat at their quick-service restaurant, Primo Piatto. I mobile ordered a Grilled Chicken Sandwich (Balsamic-marinated Grilled Chicken with a Sun-dried Tomato Relish, Spinach-Artichoke Spread, and Mozzarella on Toasted Focaccia served with a choice of Side) for $11.99. Ryan mobile ordered a Spicy Italian Sandwich (Sliced Capicola, Salami, Ham, Provolone, and Vegetable Giardiniera with a Garlic-Mayonnaise served with a choice of Side) for $10.49. Our meals were delicious and the price was extremely reasonable since the food was of high quality and quantity. My sandwich was gourmet and I felt very fancy in the small quick-service restaurant. No offense to Art of Animation but there was a noticeable difference in the quality of food at Riviera. However, both quick-service restaurants, Landscape of Flavors (Art of Animation) and Primo Piatto (Riviera), had friendly and helpful Cast Members working. Overall, I enjoyed Riviera but I did feel a little out of place like it was just too fancy of a place for me to be at. I would still hope to stay here on a future vacation, maybe I will wait until I feel like I can fit in with the sophisticated atmosphere though.

From all the resorts that we were able to visit, I really enjoyed Pop Century! I loved the fun color schemes and larger than life architecture. I found this resort to be a lot of fun and I can't wait to experience a stay there!
