Over the next few days, my boyfriend (Ryan) and I went to Magic Kingdom, Universal (both parks), and Epcot.
I took Ryan to Magic Kingdom, which was his first experience with a Disney Park. I made sure that we made the most of his first trip. My plan was to get on the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train first, unfortunately we decided that the line was not worth the wait. We rushed over to Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin which we got on within minutes, Ryan loved the ride! After Buzz Lightyear we went on Monsters. Inc Laugh Floor (I made it onto the screen during the pre show), Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress, Tomorrowland Speedway, Mad Tea Party, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and Under the Sea Journey of The Little Mermaid. At this point we were both getting rather hangry and had lunch at Pinocchio Village Haus (which my friend Gavin worked at). I like eating at Pinocchio's because it has views of the inside of its a small world. After lunch we went on Mickey's PhilharMagic, Peter Pan's Flight, its a small world, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Magic Carpets of Aladdin, and Jungle Cruise. Ryan and I watched the Happily Ever After firework show (he loved it) and the Goodnight Kiss show. I am really glad that I was able to be his personal tour guide and be apart of his first Disney experience.
The day before my birthday Ryan, Matt (his friend), and I went to Universal together. Unfortunately, it was very cold that day. The weather was not only cold but it was windy and slightly rainy which led us to only staying for half a day. We tried to make the most of our time by going on the rides and enjoying the atmosphere. Who knew it could get so cold in Florida! I felt bad that Ryan spent so much on his ticket but he understood that the conditions were less than ideal. However, I am glad we got to experience the parks together.
On my birthday, Ryan, Will, Matt, and Matt's sister all came to Epcot with me. We had a morning filled with rides, walking around, and viewing art from the festival. In the afternoon we went to the country side of Epcot and began drinking around the world. We started by getting drinks in every other country and once we made it through one way we went the other way to stop at the countries we missed. Less than half way through, our group shortened to just Ryan, Will, and I. We caught up with a couple of my DCP friends later on in the day and watched some Broadway singers perform. Towards the end of the day, we began to get rather cold and tired and decided we had enough for the day and we were ready to go home. All in all, I had a great time with Ryan visiting and getting to celebrate my birthday at my favorite place. I had the most magical few days celebrating life and love.
