If you are looking for a nearly perfect orchard, Milburn is the choice for you. Milburn Orchards has been inducted into the Maryland Agricultural Hall of Fame by Governor Hogan. Milburn Orchards has been inducted into the Cecil County Business Hall of Fame. Milburn Orchards has been voted #1 again for their Cider Donuts by Cecil Favorites. Milburn Orchards has been voted #1 Attraction in the Area by TripAdvisor. Last but not least, Milburn Orchards has been voted #1 Place to Take Your Kids by Delaware News Journal Readers Choice Awards.

Milburn offers a variety of family fun filled activities. These activities range from shopping in the Farm Market Bake Shoppe, visiting the BIG BackYard, grabbing a bite at the Orchard View Deck, and going on an U-Pick Adventure. During our visit, we shopped at the Farm Market first and we purchased a dozen cider donuts, a pumpkin pie, and a few other farm fresh items that we plan to give out to family members as Christmas presents. After our time in the store admiring all the goodies, we headed out to the small fall decorative area next to it. At this point during our visit, it began to rain. The rain started off lightly and then picked up by the time we made it back to the car to grab an umbrella. We then put our goodies away in the car and went to our U-Pick Apples Adventure. We checked in and then we waited for the wagon to come and pick us up. As soon as I sat down in the wagon, my pants were soaked. While on the few minute ride, it downpoured. The umbrella could not stop mother nature and we just laughed it off at that point. We did not let the rain ruin our apple picking fun.

My boyfriend, Ryan, and I took turns taking pictures and picking apples. We picked red delicious, golden delicious, bazooka gold, and jonagold apples. We spent at least thirty minutes out in the orchard picking our ripe fruit before taking a return wagon ride back. The rain slowed down while we were picking apples and about half way through the sun began to come out. When we made it back to the car, we each ate a cider donut to celebrate our successful date.

Overall, I had a great first time experience at Milburn Orchards and I can see myself coming back again in the future. I would highly recommend Milburn Orchards to anyone! They offer lots of activities all year round that will please just about anyone. Rain or shine, you are in for a wonderful time!

Warnings: I would advise against wearing any uncomfortable footwear (lots of walking on uneven grounds) or footwear that you would not wish to get messy (you will be walking through grass, dirt, and mud).
