Laughter Yoga and Cocktails - 08.08.19

This morning I had breakfast in bed aka a granola bar. We began our day off on a tuk tuk going to NIMHANS. We arrived and had an observational visit to the outpatient facilities to understand the socio cultural diversity of persons who seek mental health services. Afterwards, there was an orientation about mental health services to children, adolescents, and families in NIMHANS. Following was a delicious lemon tea break with this potato thing that was not so good. Next we had an orientation about the profile of people seeking health services and sociocultural factors influencing health seeking in mental health. Following was an orientation about Indian social system and health. Then we finally had lunch which was prepared by the same lady as yesterday with basically the same food. I had the noodles, rice, potatoes, Indian style chips, and a few things that I did not like and do not remember the names of. We finished up NIMHANS with a visit to the museum, inpatient facilities, and Ayurveda centre. We got back to the hotel and got ready for laughter yoga in the park. When leaving we locked our room key in the hotel room. We decided that this would be a problem for when we got back and walked to the park and began our laughter yoga session. We practiced many different techniques. It was awkward at first but it became quite fun. Post yoga we took a tuk tuk to dinner. The traffic on the ride was so bad that we got out of the tuk tuk when we were about 5-10 minutes away and walked. In order to do this we had to cross many lanes of highway traffic which was terrifying. We made it to our dinner spot which was a restaurant and bar. I had a pretty good margarita pizza but it had too much oregano. I also got a Long Island Iced Tea and a Sex on the Pattaya Beach, they both tasted amazing. We took an uber home and had to be let into our room by the hotel staff. I passed out in bed with my clothes on, I was that exhausted!
