I hopped off the plane at LAX - 10.19.22

I started my trip off by driving to the Philadelphia Airport and parking my car at one of the shuttled lots that you pay per day. This is a moderate expense, but it was a necessary one. I allowed myself more than enough time at the airport and I was warmly welcomed by the Delta staff who assisted with my luggage check-in. My check-in was quick, and I was given candy, cookies, and pink lemonade by the Delta team members. I went through security next, which I found to move at a steady pace. Before I knew it, I was on my way to my gate. I stopped for dinner and drinks at Chickie’s and Pete’s where I had a grilled chicken sandwich (roasted tomatoes, field greens, lemon vinaigrette, signature brioche roll) for $10.99 and a vodka lemonade as well as a cosmo. I sat at the bar counter and enjoyed my meal while watching the Phillies game next to other traveling strangers. After, I went to my gate for my 7 PM (EST) departure to Detroit, Michigan. My flight was smooth, and I had a quick 30-minute layover which I was scared would be too short, but I made my next flight with ease. I was off to Los Angeles, California to visit a dear friend of mine, Hannah. I arrived at LAX a little after 11 PM (PST), gathered my luggage, and found Hannah outside waiting for me. We laughed the entire car ride to her house while catching up with each other’s busy lives. Hannah took me for my first In-N-Out Burger dining experience where I just ordered fries since I knew I was about to go to sleep as soon as we got to her house which was only minutes away.
