Harbor View Restaurant

Cape May, New Jersey

October 2020

Harbor View is an informal waterside restaurant that serves seafood, drinks, and more in a beachy space completed with a deck and beautiful views. We heard about this place while on the Thunder Cat Dolphin Watch & Speedboat Tour. The casual vibe of the restaurant was a change of pace for us.

I ordered from the Sushi Menu that is hand rolled to order and I got the Rainbow Roll that had 9 pieces for $14.00. The Rainbow Roll is the California Roll wrapped with salmon, shrimp, tuna, and yellow tail. I was really in the mood for sushi leading up to our meal so I was very excited! The sushi was very good and I would recommend it. My sister ordered Fish Tacos (char grilled and blackened mahi with lettuce, tomato, green onions, colby jack cheese and chipotle ranch dressing) for $15.50 and she added on pineapple mango salsa for an extra $1.00. She liked her tacos a lot and my mother and I tried them as well and loved them. I am definitely ordering the fish tacos next time we come to Harbor View! Also, the french fries were very good, they had the perfect amount of crunch! My mother ordered a Veggie Flatbread (EVOO, garlic, fresh herbs, diced tomatoes, sauteed spinach, artichokes, green onions, and mozzarella cheese) for $11.95. She liked her flatbread but it was a little spicy. I tried the flatbread but I did not like the artichokes in it. The menu has a wide variety of food options to choose from and I think that it should be able to suit everyone in your party.

Overall, we had a pleasant experience. Our waitress was not the friendliest in the beginning but she seemed to warm up a little more as the meal continued. The other staff members were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our meals a lot and we will definitely be coming back to Harbor View Restaurant in the future!
