Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival

March 13, 2020

On this day I went to Epcot for the International Flower and Garden Festival. I went with my friend Isabella, her roommate Reagan, and our friend Kyle. I was pretty exhausted but I decided I wanted to continue to make the most of my time while down in Florida. This was my first time ever going to the festival and I am so happy that I went (especially since the following day would bring devastating news). The festival was beautiful, I was completely surrounded by the memorizing flower displays. The displays varied from different characters to designs, Disney sure does know how to design to impress.

Disney's festivals are known not only for their decor but also their food! We went to a few different booths and I got the most delicious salmon with risotto. We shared plates with each other and Isabella got the cutest little ice cream cone dessert, I was obsessed with it! I had a lot of fun sharing plates with my friends and trying a wider variety of the food.

Besides trying the tasty plates, we went on a few rides, took some photos, and chatted with Minnie. One of my favorite festival specific things was the butterfly garden. There was a large walk through butterfly garden area that was super beautiful and peaceful. I thought that this was a unique attraction that enhanced the atmosphere of the festival. Sadly, we did not feel up to staying for the fireworks that night. However, we did get to do some festival specific shopping and I bought some Flower and Garden Festival trading pins. I wish I knew that this was going to be my last time in Epcot for my DCP... Shoutout to the nightmare of COVID-19. You are are going to want to hold onto your seats folks, the next few upcoming posts are going to be a bumpy ride.
