During our most recent family vacation to Walt Disney World, we scheduled the full day after we arrived to be a non park day. My family and I spent this park free day going to Disney Springs and enjoying our resort's (Coronado Springs) amenities. We went to Disney Springs first thing in the morning and shopped around. Some of the stores that we shopped through included Coach, Crystal Arts by Arribas Brothers, Disney PhotoPass Studio, Disney Pin Traders, francesca's, Once Upon a Toy, Sephora, Star Wars Galactic Outpost, Vera Bradley, World of Disney, and ZARA. My family and I had a nice time shopping around and I was able to meet up with some of my friends and do some shopping with them.
Something new that I did at Disney Springs was having a photoshoot with my family at Disney's PhotoPass Studio. We were able to take one photo outside without our masks and the rest were taken inside with our masks on. We took the inside photos with a blank backdrop and we only found out the added backdrops when the pictures appeared in our My Disney Experience account. The photos all turned out great (see pictures below) and we had a blast taking them! The Cast Members were all wonderful and kept us laughing and smiling throughout the process. I am glad that my family decided to stop in and I will be making sure to add this into every Disney Springs trip of mine from now on.
While at Disney Springs, I ate Dole Whip from Marketplace Snacks and chicken tenders from Chicken Guy!. The dole whip that I ordered was a watermelon and lime swirl parfait for $5.29. I loved my dole whip (of course) but I would say that the lime overpowered the watermelon. I was not sure what the green part at the bottom of the cup was (see picture below) but I know that I did not like it. At Chicken Guy!, I ordered five chicken tenders with avocado crema and
garlic parmesan sauces for $7.99. Avocado crema is one of my new favorite sauces, it was delicious!
Overall, we had a wonderful time at Disney Springs. We were able to take an easy but we still got our fair share of Disney magic. I would say that we started our vacation off on the right foot by taking a day to build up our excitement and stamina. I recommend, if you can afford it, to take a day somewhere in your Disney vacation to be a park free day and explore all of the non park things that Disney has to offer.
