Disney California Adventure Park - 10.21.22

Hannah and I were back again early at Disneyland for the second day in a row but this time we spent our day at Disney California Adventure Park. We started off by going on Pixar Pal-A-Round-Non-Swinging located in Pixar Pier which had amazing views, but I was terrified of being so high up. After, we went to Radiator Springs Racers located in Cars Land. This ride was so much fun, and, in my opinion, it was better than Test Track in Disney World. Next, Hannah and I raced over to Soarin’ Around the World located in Grizzly Peak which was similar to the one in Disney World. Hannah then took me on The Bakery Tour located in Pacific Wharf. During this self-guided tour, we were able to taste the world-famous San Francisco sourdough bread and watch the production process. This bread was worth all the hype, it was absolutely delicious! Hannah ended up buying a loaf of sourdough bread, shared it with me, and we ate the bread while walking around the park. There is a unique happiness that comes from eating fresh bread while walking around Disneyland that not many other things can compare to. Hannah and I then made our way over to the Golden Zephyr located in Paradise Gardens Park; this was a simple but fun ride with good views. We followed this by going on Jessie’s Critter Carousel located in Pixar Pier which was cute and slightly comfier than the carousel from yesterday in Disneyland Park. Then we headed to Hollywood Land to ride Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! which was cute. Hannah and I were in a whirlwind of going all over this park because next we went off to Cars Land again to go on Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters. This ride was cute, but it did whip you around a little. Finally, Hannah and I took a brief break and got some ice cream from the Adorable Snowman. I ordered “It's Lemon and Mango Swirl!” (nondairy lemon and mango soft serve in a cup) for $5.79. This refreshing sweet treat hit the spot and gave me the energy I needed to continue with our busy day. After our snack, we went on Toy Story Midway Mania! located in Pixar Pier which was fun and the same as Disney World. Then we finally went on WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure located in Avengers Campus which was a lot of fun, but it was also tiring on your arms. We tried to go on this ride earlier in our day, but it was shut down, so I am just happy that it was fixed timely and that we had the opportunity to ride it. Afterwards, it was time for drinks!

Hannah and I got our first drinks at Pym’s Tasting Lab located in Avengers Campus. I ordered Endless Summer Hard Seltzer - Watermelon Açaí (San Diego, CA - ABV 5.0%) for $12.00. The seltzer was fun and tasty but there were not many other drink options at this location. Hannah and I then made our way for our Magic Key Terrace reservations (Hannah is a Magic Key holder) located in Pacific Wharf. We drank champagne and wine throughout our service. I ordered Three Little Sliders (1. carnitas-style pulled pork with jalapeño & red onion crema and tortilla straws on a toasted sesame seed Amish bun; 2. lacquered pork belly with smoked bourbon BBQ sauce, apple sticks and arugula salad on a toasted sesame seed Amish bun; 3. coffee-rubbed pork tenderloin with grilled pineapple and Calabrian Chile sauce with crunchy chicharron on a toasted sesame seed Amish bun) for $22.00. My food was incredible. Hannah ordered Impossible™ Sicilian Meatball Flatbread (creamy tomato sauce, dairy-free mozzarella, plant-based meatballs, dairy-free house-made ricotta and pesto) for $16.00. Her food was incredible. Our experience was incredible, and I felt very exclusive dining at this Magic Key holder only location.

After we were full, we went on The Little Mermaid - Ariel’s Undersea Adventure located in Paradise Gardens Park. For some reason I thought that this was a show, but it turned out that it was a cute ride. As our night drew closer to a close, we went on Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! again! We then got drinks at Hollywood Lounge in Hollywood Land. I ordered a Blue Rum Cocktail (rum and orange liqueur with lemon-lime and cherry flavors) for $16.00. Our last ride of the night was Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters, again, but this time it had all of its nighttime lights on. We ended our park day by watching World of Color which was an amazing show with light and water features. It was truly beautiful. Of course, Hannah and I could not leave Disneyland without doing one last shopping stop at World of Disney in Downtown Disney District.

Hannah and I had a loaded day filled with entertainment and excitement. Unfortunately, we did not get to some of the rides that I wanted to such as Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind (this ride was closed), Jumpin’ Jellyfish (this was a kid’s ride), Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree (we were scared of getting nauseous), and Silly Symphony Swings (we were scared of getting nauseous). I was so proud of all we were able to accomplish in just one visit. I can’t wait to come back again someday!
