Day 2, Part 2: Disney's Epcot

August 2021

My family and I got to Disney's Epcot in the late afternoon, after leaving Disney's Hollywood Studios. We traveled by Skyliner and arrived at the International Gateway. From the International Gateway, we headed straight to France. This was my first time attending the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. In France, I ordered a Beignet aux Trois Fromages (warm beignet filled with three cheeses) for $5.75 and La Passion Martini Slushy (vodka, Grey Goose Le Citron Vodka, cranberry, and passion fruit juice) for $12.50. The Beignet aux Trois was okay, I would definitely recommend sharing this plate. La Passion Martini Slushy was tasty and perfect for a hot day. In America, I ordered a New England Lobster Roll (lobster with herb mayonnaise on a griddled roll) for $8.50 and a glass of Longevity Chardonnay, California for $5.00. I really enjoyed the New England Lobster Roll, although I wish that the portion size was larger. I also enjoyed my glass of California Chardonnay. In Japan, I ordered a Teriyaki Chicken Bun (steamed bun filled with chicken, vegetables, and teriyaki sauce) for $6.50. I loved this Teriyaki Chicken Bun, it was delicious!

Once we moved out of the World Showcase, my family and I went on a few rides. My mom, my sister, and I went in the single rider line for Test Track which we practically walked onto. This is one of my favorite rides and I always opt for the single rider line to avoid a long wait. Next, we went on Spaceship Earth as it is one of my mom's favorite rides. I enjoy this futuristic ride, however, I always feel like I am going to fall out of my seat. Lastly, my sister and I were able to squeeze in Soarin' Around the World before the fireworks show. I love going on Soarin' and I am so glad that there was no wait! After out flight, we rushed back to the World Showcase to catch Epcot Forever.

This was my first time actually watching Epcot Forever. I unfortunately was not feeling too well during the show but I toughed it out since I knew that this was some of the last bits of magic we would experience during our trip. I enjoyed the show as much as my exhausted self would allow.

My family and I were exhausted during our half day at Epcot. We had a very busy morning at Hollywood Studios and a very busy previous day. You can see how exhausted we were by the lack of photos we took and by how significantly less we accomplished. However, I am proud of us that we toughed through and made it to see the fireworks show. Overall, we accomplished our family vacation in only two (park) days, compared to most families that take four or more days to accomplish. Yes, our trip was rushed but we are a family who have been to Disney several of times and we will be back many more. However you Disney, you will still have a magical time!
