Day 2, Part 1: Disney's Hollywood Studios

August 2021

We began our second park day bright and early in Disney's Hollywood Studios. We made it for rope drop and we were within the first twenty families in our line. Sadly, this was not as impressive as our rope drop spot for Animal Kingdom but I am just glad that we made it to rope drop. Our original plan was to go straight to Slinky Dog Dash, however, this ride was not opened for rope drop so we had to go with our backup plan which was Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway. We had about a 15 minute wait for the ride which was barely noticeable due to how long the queue took to get through. This was my family's first time riding and they enjoyed the ride!

Afterwards, my family and I went on Toy Story Mania! followed by Slinky Dog Dash and Alien Swirling Saucers. This was our first time in the completed Toy Story Land as a family and we had a lot of fun being toy sized. It was also our first time on Slinky Dog Dash and Alien Swirling Saucers, I loved them both!

Next, my parents went back to Hollywood Boulevard to grab some breakfast while my sister and I headed to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge to wait for them. My family then went on Star Tours - The Adventures Continue. I sat this one out since the last time I went on it I felt nauseous.

We ate our lunch at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo. I ordered the Fried Endorian Chicken Tip Yip (crispy chicken served with house-made macaroni & cheese and roasted vegetables) for $15.49. My meal was okay, I do not think that I would order it again. My sister ordered

the Batuuan Beef and Crispy Topato Stir-fry (smoky braised beef glazed in tamarind sauce, served with stir fried mushrooms and vegetables, crispy herb yucca, pickled onions, and cilantro) for $19.99. My dad ordered the Pirjanad Hot Chicken Tip Yip (crispy chicken glazed in a spicy chipotle sauce and served with white rice and a relish of sweet corn, shishito peppers, picama, plantains, and cilantro) for $15.49. My mom ordered the Roasted Endorian Chicken Salad (marinated chicken, mixed greens, shaved onion and radish, grapes, tomato, and cucumber in a citrus-pomegranate vinaigrette with spiced yogurt drizzle) for $13.99. They all enjoyed their meals and I think that if I were to come back to Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo, I would order either the Batuuan Beef and Crispy Topato Stir-fry or the Roasted Endorian Chicken Salad. I enjoyed the environment of this restaurant and the air conditioning! However, I would like to say that I think that this restaurant is a little overpriced for what you are served.

After lunch, we went to go watch the show, For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing Along Celebration. This was my family's first time seeing the show and we loved it! The show had us laughing and singing the whole time. I highly recommend this show for all ages.

We went back to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge for our reservations at Oga's Cantina. This was my family's first visit and my second visit. I ordered a Jedi Mind Trick (Ketel One Botanical Grapefruit and Rose Vodka, John D. Taylor's Velvet Falernum, Bols Blue Curaçao, white grape juice, lime juice, and grapefruit bitters) for $15.00. My dad ordered Jet Juice (Maker's Mark Bourbon, Ancho Reyes Chile Liqueur, Cedilla Açaí Liqueur, white grape juice, and lemon juice) for $15.00. My mom ordered T-16 Skyhopper (Tito's Handmade Vodka, Bols Melon Liqueur, kiwi, and Half and Half) for $16.00. My sister ordered Carbon Freeze

(POWERADE® Lemon Lime, wild strawberry, blueberry, and green apple popping pearls) for $7.50. We all really enjoyed our drinks and time at Oga's!

After Oga's Cantina, it was time for my family and I to board Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. This was my family's first time riding Rise of the Resistance and my second time riding Rise of the Resistance. I loved this ride even more the second time and my family had the best time riding this immersive ride.

After we finished Rise of the Resistance, our half day at Hollywood Studios came to an end. We did a quick change in the bathroom and took the Skyliner to Epcot.

I am so glad that my family and I were able to accomplish as much as we did at Hollywood Studios. My family enjoyed seeing how much the park has changed and grown since they last visited a few years ago. I enjoyed visiting Hollywood Studios because it is the park that I have been to the least and there is still so much that I would like to see and do there!
