I started my last morning similarly as I had all of the other mornings with two hard boiled eggs, two pancakes with jam, a donut, and orange juice. It was a bittersweet last breakfast as we all gathered in the lobby of the hotel saying our final farewells. Before departing to the airport, our tour guide Roxie, who made this trip better than I could have imagined, gave us all parting gifts of a chocolate bar, postcard, and shot glass. The gifts were very thoughtful and much appreciated. The transfer from our private bus to the airport went smoothly and then before we knew it, we were through security and ordering lunch in our terminal. I ordered a salad for 14.10 Swiss Franc and a salmon sandwich for 8.20 Swiss Franc. On the plane, I had chicken teriyaki with rice and vegetables, along with a chocolate brownie muffin and bread. To pass the time, I slept and watched the movies Crazy Rich Asians and Book Club. My friend Melody from the trip and I flew all the way back to Philadelphia together with a layover in Canada. In Canada, we had poutine and red wine, and I bought a bottle of maple syrup. Our flight from Canada to Philly was on a small airplane and we were served pretzels. We had poor weather conditions during our flight which made for a rough ride. I was thankful when we landed safely in Philly and to be finally almost home. This was an exhausting but exhilarating trip. My heart is so full, from the amazing friendships I had found during this trip to the wonders we have seen of the world. My gratitude is overflowing, and I am so glad to be able to share my adventures with those who are willing to listening.
Peep the pro athletes that we saw at the airport (I believe that they were volleyball players).
