I am doing a few short posts on my DCP friends and their roles during the program! I hope that these posts will give more insight of the diversity that the Disney College Program offers. Enjoy!

My job was food and beverage service at ESPN Wide World of Sports. It was amazing! I got to see athletes from all over the world compete in baton twirling competitions, soccer tournaments, field hockey tournaments, cheerleading competitions, and races just to name a few. It was fun because every day was different. Different sporting events brought in different types of guest and it was fun to get to know them all. My favorite part of working at ESPN World was during the marathons. Disney hosts many different races throughout the year and I was fortunate enough to get to work during the Disney Princess Half Marathon, a race I had always wanted to run myself. Of course ESPN has some down time when there are no sporting events going on so during those times in the week, I would go to my what Disney calls your "home away from home" which was Rizzo's Pizza at Hollywood Studios. Working in the park is much more exhausting of a job since there are millions of people visiting Walt Disney World each and every day and a lot of the time the guest are getting up super early and staying up super late to get the most out of their Disney vacation that they are extremely tired and do NOT want to wait for their food at lunch, they have shows to see and rides to ride. Overall, working for the Walt Disney Company was an amazing experience and I would do it all over again. I met the most wonderful people there, there was never a dull moment during my short time spent living in Disney.
