I am doing a few short posts on my DCP friends and their roles during the program! I hope that these posts will give more insight of the diversity that the Disney College Program offers. Enjoy!

My role during my DCP was Quick Service Food/Beverage at the Artist’s Palette in Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa! Saratoga Springs is a DVC Resort and also happens to be the largest resort on Disney's property. Even though I wasn’t working in one of the parks, I still had the greatest experience working here for the duration of my program! I met so many amazing people at my location and made so many friends there! Everyone who worked at the Artist’s Palette were so nice to us CP’s during our time there. They took the time to get to know some of us really well which ultimately made it harder when we had to give our premature goodbyes when COVID-19 hit in March and sent us home. I wasn’t really upset when I saw that I wasn’t placed in one of the parks because I felt that it was a lot easier to connect with guests, as my location never really got crazy busy. The guests who stayed at the resort were always very nice to us Cast Members and I even met many people who were also from New Jersey! During my (almost) two months working there, I believe I had only been confronted by about five unpleasant guests. The majority of these people were those who would become upset when they would try to order a burger and we had to inform them that we unfortunately did not sell burgers or fries at our location. Even though we would have these few guests basically yelling at us for something that was out of our control, the guests who were extremely nice to us helped us forget all about the unpleasant ones. One of my favorite positions at work was the Dining Room because I was able to freely meet and connect with many different guests every day. It was even nice to repeatedly see the same guests day after day and reconnect with them each day. I really enjoyed my time working at the Artist’s Palette! I will forever be grateful for the bonds and friendships that I made during my short time at Disney! I miss my Disney friends everyday and can’t wait for the days when I get to see all of them again!
