I am doing a few short posts on my DCP friends and their roles during the program! I hope that these posts will give more insight of the diversity that the Disney College Program offers. Enjoy!

Abbygail:

My role during my college program was Quick Service Food and Beverage at Boardwalk Resort. I worked in the Bakery, Pizza Window, and Ample Hills Creamery. Even being at a resort, was truly a magical experience. I saw many weddings, some big time guests (like Bob Iger) and made so many friendships I will forever hold close to my heart. Boardwalk will always be in my heart as my Disney home. I have to say Pizza Window was my favorite location to work at, I made lots of guest connections even behind a window. I met people from my college town and others from my state. I had a little girl tell me she loved me and I was just as fun as the princesses she met, it melted my heart.

On my DCP I did more than work. I met some amazing friends and had some great roommates! I rope dropped, park hopped, and closed the parks down. I will never forget the very last night at the Happily Ever After Show, it was a sad night for many cast members because we were saying goodbye to our dream we worked so hard for.

Overall, DCP was hard at times and we all got home sick but in the end it was so much fun and such a rewarding experience. Maybe one day I'll be back but until then I'll continue to watch Happily Ever After on youtube.
