On our final day we wasted no time by having an early breakfast at ‘Ohana. Our reservation was at 7:55 AM and to get there, we had to take a bus from our resort to the Magic Kingdom from which we took the monorail over to Disney’s Polynesian Resort. This breakfast is a cult favorite for Avery and I. The food, characters, and atmosphere are elite. This is a bountiful breakfast served family-style and features the characters, Lilo, Stitch, Mickey, and Pluto. Breakfast selections included scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, Stitch and Mickey waffles, ham with pineapple, a variety of fresh fruits, and assorted breads. The breakfast was priced at $53 per adult. One of the highlights of this breakfast for me is the pog juice that they serve which is made up of passion fruit juice, orange juice, and guava juice. After we stuffed ourselves, took pictures with the characters, and received the character’s autographs, we resort hopped from the Poly to the Grand Floridian before taking a boat back to the Magic Kingdom. The monorail was going through technical difficulties when we lined up to take it back to Magic Kingdom, so we decided to take the walking path over, however, we took the wrong route and ended up at the boat dock. One chilly boat ride later and we were back at MK. From MK we took a bus to Beach Club Resort from which we then walked over to the Skyliner to go back to our resort, Caribbean Beach Resort. Back at our resort, we cleaned up our room and packed up our bags. We then checked out and dropped our bags off with the resort as we had a few hours left to enjoy before our flight and we were headed to Disney Springs. At Springs, we shopped around and ate lunch at Earl Of Sandwich. I had the Chicken Bacon Avocado Wrap (grilled chicken, bacon, romaine, avocado, roma tomato, cucumber and balsamic vinaigrette) for $9.99 and Avery wasn’t that hungry, so he just got some potato chips for $2.99 and fruit. Our time quickly came to an end, and we caught a bus back to our resort to catch the Mears Connect bus back to MCO. At MCO, we made our way through security and then hit up the food court where I got ice cream from Cold Stone and Avery got Burger King. Before we knew it, we were back in frigid Pennsylvania but home never felt so warm.
We had a great trip filled with thrills, new experiences, and magic! I am so glad that we were able to make this trip happen, and I look forward to our upcoming trips. I will be back in the sky before you know it off to my next destination creating new memories and writing more posts. Until then, stay well.
