And so, our journey comes to an end, but yours continues on.

March 16, 17, & 18, 2020

Throughout the following few days, I packed up everything. I packed my clothing, shoes, food, and everything I bought during my time in Florida. I was able to pack most of my things. I was packed and ready for March 18, the day I would embark on my long journey home. I would be driving back up North with Alexa and then Katie and Hannah in their own car. Alexa (who was going to New Jersey) would be dropping me off at my boyfriend's house in Delaware where I would be quarantined for two weeks. Katie would be driving Hannah up to her home in Massachusetts where Hannah would be staying for a few weeks with Katie. Our friend Abby drove home to Kentucky and our roommate Kayla flew home to Indiana.

We took Kayla to the airport on the morning of March 17. It was a sad departure, it made the whole thing seem that much more real. After Katie, Hannah, and I dropped her off, we went to Cocoa Beach. It was my first time at Cocoa Beach and we stayed for just a few hours. While my family and I typically go to the west coast beaches of Florida, this was a nice change. We did have plans to take a few days to go to the beach in the upcoming weeks but due to the unforeseeable circumstances, we were just glad to go for a few hours. It was much needed relaxation before our upcoming travels. It was a little bit of peace that was much needed during these uncertain times.

On March 18, Alexa, Katie, Hannah, and I packed up our cars and left our happy Disney lives... To be continued on the next post...
