About Me
Hello! My name is Sarah Rodriguez, and I am the creator of Depart Happily. I came across the idea for this blog during the 2020 Coronavirus Pandemic. Before the pandemic, I was working in Walt Disney World Resorts as a part of the Disney College Program. I worked in Animal Kingdom in Dinoland selling merchandise. I was heartbroken when my program was cut short due to the pandemic. I traveled home on a three-day car ride with some of my best friends I met during my program. In the months that followed, I severely missed traveling. I began to plan a future vacation to Europe with my then boyfriend, Ryan. A few weeks after beginning to plan for this trip to Europe the idea for a blog came to mind. The podcast "The Skinny Confidential" also inspired my blogging. I look forward to continuously grow with this brand and share my experiences with the world. I want to share the realness of travel, both the highs and the lows. I hope that my experiences bring joy to your life and inspire you to take hold of your life and live it fully.
